"There is no rule on how to write. Sometimes it comes easily and perfectly; sometimes it's like drilling rock and then blasting it out with charges."

Bruce Almighty

August 15, 2008

I hated Jim Carey because i thought he over acts, but i learned to like him because of this movie. I had nothing to do one weekend, and with all the dvd’s at home, all of them i’ve already seen except of this one. So i started watching it. The movie left me a good lesson about leaving all things to God and trusting all His will that is being done to all of us. Everything has a reason of its existence. Bruce, in the movie, was left one day with all the power God has and all the work He is doing. Because of the millions of prayers he was receiving, he wasn’t able to manage to listen to each of them but instead granted all the prayers of the people. Here, i see how the balance of life got all mixed up because all of the prayers were granted. And i realized why some of our prayers are not answered because there is something else that God plans for us which He surely knows is better for us…

that’s a profound observation Liz. Also, did you notice in the movie how man’s judgement is so partial and self-centred? i tend to wish things for selfish gains but then God always proves His sovereignty and wisdom by showing me my own faults and declining to grant my prayers in ways I expect them to be.
But one thing is for sure, God’s way and will are always the best.

Miss you Liza. I may not be part of your everyday existence but rest assure you’re always remembered. hehe.

Have you seen Shakespeare in love? That’s a cool treat if you like to have background on old English theatres.
Also, I highly recommend Pursuit of Happyness with Will Smith as the main vharacter.
