Vamps
November 20, 2008I’ll admit…I’m officially obsessed with Edward Cullen…
There’s something on the story that grabs the attention of young women. I browsed the web and found the right words…
“Very rarely are vampire stories about vampires. They are often about desire, love, forbidden pleasures, forbidden fears that people are too scared or embarrased to admit. Put it in the guise of a vampire, and you can talk about it. They are the perfect metaphor for anything that challenges you or make you lose control. You create a creature with absolute control. They summon a world in which love is passionate yet (relatively) chaste, girls need be nothing more than fetchingly vulnerable and masterful men can be depended upon to protect and worship them for it.”
Sigh…
November 13, 2008I set my alarm at 6 am, but I got up at 7:10 this morning…took a quick shower, got dressed hurriedly, and did not manage to put a detailed make-up. When I walked out from the exit of the condo, a cab was right there and as if it was waiting for me, I quickly hailed it. Got in the office at around 7:40 and took a breakfast. I managed to get on my desk before 8 and sleepishly browsed my emails. I realized that this is the same thing i am doing everyday. I’m now questioning myself, where is that eagerness and forward-looking attitude i had 2 years ago? Why i am here at this site blogging when i should have doing things that i should be doing at this time.
I think that everyone’s had some point or will have some point on his life wherein he’ll question himself about his life’s purpose..or how to live a life he’ll most enjoy. This could be the highest level of need that Maslow tells us on his Hierarchy of Needs. I don’t want to be like that boiled frog who didn’t realize that he’s in a pot of boiling water and the heat is killing him litle by little…leading to his death.

Netbook Craze
My mind’s currently occupied at thinking of a notebook that is worth my money. At this stage of my studies, i’m in a desperate need of a laptop since i’m in the early stage of my thesis. I have a very conservative budget so i’m gonna settle with a netbook that offers a cheap price. One advantage also is the portability of it, very handy so i could bring anywhere. Considering that i dont have my own car, the weight of a netbook is very light for me to hadcarry anywhere. I’m in favor of the HP Mini 2133 but when i read reviews, i’ve learned that there is an upcoming new version which is the HP mini 1000. My mind’s battling between these two, i prefer the 2133 version because of it’s sleek aluminum exterior but it’s processor is the flaw, which is Via. While the 1000 has an Intel processor but i don’t like the look because i don’t like the plastic exterior cause it looks like a cheap plastic. Hmmm.. how about the MSI Wind which is recommended by Mickey, it has an impressive specs also considering it’s cheap price….
